You can volunteer from 9:00 – 11:00 AM for beach cleanups, habitat restoration and gardening at organized cleanup sites throughout Pacifica, from Mussel Rock to Half Moon Bay! Go to – http://pacificabeachcoalition.org/take-action/earth-day-of-action-eco-fest/ and click on the links to sign up to participate. Then from 11:00 AM – 2:30 PM head for the EcoFest at Linda Mar State Beach (south parking lot). The EcoFest is all about kid fun and education. You can learn about how you can easily make a positive impact on the environment on a daily basis while having fun listening to great music and enjoying refreshments and good food. AND! While you are there, please stop by the Pacifica Land Trust EcoBooth. It will be great to see everyone and we will show you the progress that has been made at Pedro Point Headlands. The restoration projects are now completed. Trail contouring and erosion control fabric and wattles have been installed to ensure that all restoration areas will be safeguarded from erosion. For hikers, all the trails are open.
