The Pacifica Land Trust is hard at work organizing the Pedro Point Stewardship program to preserve habitat along the newly restored trails.  Your gift will help the Pacifica Land Trust steward the open space at Pedro Point Headlands for today and future generations to come. Give the Gift of Stock

There are many tax benefits to giving stock or other securities such as bonds or mutual funds to the Pacifica Land Trust. A gift of appreciated stocks, bonds, and mutual fund shares are an easy and powerful way to support the Pacifica Land Trust. By donating appreciated stock, you could avoid paying capital gains taxes that would otherwise apply if you simply sell the asset. Leave a Lasting Legacy

By including the Pacifica Land Trust in your estate plans, you will help ensure the legacy of Pedro Point Headlands continues for generations to come.When doing your estate planning, please keep the Pacifica Land Trust in mind. The easiest way to remember the Pacifica Land Trust in a will or living trust is through a charitable bequest. You do not have to rewrite your current documents. You simply add an amendment, called a codicil, to your will or living trust. For further information on including the land trust in your estate plan, please email treasurer@pacifica-land-trust.org.

IRA Charitable Rollover Gifts (Qualified Charitable Distributions)

Legislation allowing tax-free IRA gifts from individuals age 70 1/2 years or older was made permanent in December 2015. Distributions of up to $100,000 per person per year must be made directly from your IRA to the Pacifica Land Trust and count toward your required minimum distribution. Checks often arrive without identification, so please email treasurer@pacifica-land-trust.organd indicate your name, the name of your IRA administrator, and the amount of your distribution.

Tribute or Honorary Gifts

If you would like to make a memorial or honorary gift, indicate your honoree when you donate online or contact Andrew Meiman, Board Treasurer, at treasurer@pacifica-land-trust.org. Your honoree or their loved one can be notified and recognized in our newsletter.
